Yoga Noob

August 18, 2019

Welcome to anti-tired tired time!

I woke up and feeling tired, unmotivated, and stressed right after nap today. It got me even stressed more because it also happened on me after nap yesterday, so I just purposelessly opened my laptop and found Yoga on my recommended Youtube page. So, I opened it and started to do Yoga. It’s actually not my first time doing yoga in online (since I got no time & money as well to do the offline one 😂). I always think Yoga-ing could be one of my favorite sport, since it is so calm yet it can burn all of your energy and yes, the double trouble stress+anxiety.

Nerdy section!
(Nerdy time will consist of theories so you can jump right to storyteller section to read directly about my experience)

But how could Yoga bring light to your mental health?

Well, first I should've linked the scientific source below.

So far it is said that Yoga gives so many benefit to mental health. The postures we did in Yoga could bring positive effects on feel-good neurotransmitters, alpha-wave activity, reducing oxidative stress and so on. So, yea! Obviously doing Yoga can be used to reduce stress, anxiety, and bring such a good effect on your mental health. Therefore, Yoga is also used for practicing mindfulness by the professional, and mindfulness is indeed useful for bringing the better mental health state. Mindfulness itself teaches how to focus on present so that you can be aware of your own thoughts and feelings; and knowing how to manage them.

So, this time I streamed the 3 minutes yoga for relieving anxiety and stress by Penyogastar.

Storyteller section!
It is 12.46 pm and I started to try what the coach does. Actually I could say that I can’t do the yoga optimally since my room is just so small so I can’t stretch well and natural (I kept going back and forth just to adjust my movement, 😪). The first movement was simply crossing your legs, inhale and exhale. But those simple movement gave me goosebumps, and it was soooo relieving. Those followed by stretching all of the body like arms, head, and mid body to the right, left and front. But well, it kept me refresh. Guess I’m gonna take this to my routine.
